Previously we shared our excitedment about Recycled, Up-Cycled, Re-Purposed Clothing Design: A Slow Fashion Movement, a show that Sassy Feet! shoes and bags would be in at the San Jose Quilt & Textile Museum. This was a collaborative show featuring the upcycled outfits and accessories of Darcy Fowkes (who also curated the show), Michelle Paganini, Jill Pillot, Angela Elsey, Marirose Jelicich, Margot and I.
Darcy created such a high-quality display for all of our works, my jaw dropped as soon as I walked into the room and saw everything in person. Thank you, Darcy! It was perfection.
If you weren’t able to make it to San Jose, CA to see our accessories featured in this amazing museum show, then here is the next best thing… A virtual tour:

Marylinn Kelly-
Thank you for a fine virtual tour of what is clearly a well-curated show. Loved the red (my favorite) and the black-and-white groupings especially. Happy to see Margot’s beaded purse. Hope you guys are doing well. xo
Destiny-
Marylinn, I love the red, black and white, too. Margot originally made those Zebra booties for me (*swoon*) but I just couldn’t cram my feet in them (*cries*).

Destiny and Margot – FABULOUS! I am so sorry I missed the PenWAG tour (Glen was ill and I just could not manage to get there) so THANK YOU for posting the photos. the purses and shoes are divine, and I would never know the clothing was upcycled, just funkylicious. You should both sit there with smug grins on your faces.
